EMBERTIDE
Pull back. Let go. Knock the light into the dark.
EMBERTIDE is a one-finger billiards puzzle drawn entirely by hand. The Tide did not put the world out — it broke the light apart and left the pieces lying cold on the table. Your job is to strike them home.
REAL BILLIARDS, ONE FINGER
Drag to aim, release to shoot. The cue strikes, momentum transfers, orbs roll and collide and drop into the lanterns cut into the rails. Sink your own cue ball and it is a scratch, exactly as it should be. No timers, no lives to wait for, no second currency.
THE LIGHT PUSHES THE DARK BACK
Every orb you sink feeds its lantern, and every lantern sends a pulse up a cable to the lamp above the table. As the light climbs, the dark physically retreats from the board. Fill it and the lamp comes on. That is the level.
300 LEVELS THAT ARE ACTUALLY DESIGNED
Eighteen chapters, each teaching one idea before combining it — ice that must be cracked before the orb will move, chains only a blast will cut, mirrored twins that fall together, prisms that flare three ways, fuses that run the chain home, and a current that drags everything off-line. Plus a shared Daily board everyone in the world gets on the same day, and an Endless run that keeps climbing.
TWO NOTEBOOKS TO FILL
Playing earns stickers, and stickers live in notebooks you open and flip through. One holds proverbs from fifteen cultures, with what each one actually means. The other is science: twelve sections, 108 fact-checked cards — Animals, Space, The Human Body, Forces & Motion, Chemistry, Plants, Earth & Volcanoes, Oceans, Weather, Dinosaurs, Inventions, and Light & Colour. Written for curious readers of about eight and up, and worth an adult's time too.
DRAWN, NOT GENERATED
There is not one image file in this game. Every line is drawn as you watch — wobbled so nothing is mathematically round, struck twice the way a pencil goes over a line it already made, shaded with hatching instead of gradients. Play it as warm ink on paper, or unlock chalk on a dark board.
FAIR BY DEFAULT
No adverts. Nothing can be bought with real money. Everything in the game is earned by playing it. It works offline, installs to your home screen, and the whole thing is smaller than a single photo.
A photosensitivity warning appears before your first shot, with the reduced motion switch right there in the dialog rather than buried in a settings menu. Portrait, one-handed, and happy on a small screen.
